This Dark Endeavor 1-40

Victor and his brother Konrad who are twins were in a play fighting a monster and they defeat the monster who was battling them. When they killed the monster it transformed into a woman. Victor asked her why she was only fighting him instead of his brother to. She said because he was the one who is the true monster. They get what they need to collect the reward for killing the beast. Victor then turns on his brother saying how the riches in the world will only belong to him not Konrad. They sword fight it out and Victor strikes down Konrad. He says how he is finally alone with all the riches and will live in peace. The lights dim and the crowd applause and cheers filled the room. He helped up his brother and they go into the crowd to talk to their parents. They walk through the crowd who is clapping for them. When walking with their parents Victor falls off the balcony and lands ontop of a roof and is holding for dear life. His brother rushes down the side of the building to help him. He makes it their and pulls Victor back on top of the building. The next day Victor is in a wheel chair because he sprung his ankle. They horse around him and his brother and their cousin Elizabeth and end up falling into some book cases and find a door leading to an underground room. They go down there and find a locked door. Victor stuck his hand into a hole to see if he could unlock it and a big metal arm grasps his arm. He freaks out and tries to break free of the grasp and could not. His brother then reads something on a door that was a riddle. He shook to the metal arm to unlock the door. They enter the library which was called The Dark Library in latin. They look at all the old books and medicine in the place then their father comes down there. He explains how their great grandpa used to be an alchemist an how he just rode off one day and nobody knew what happened to him. They go up stairs to fix their servants supper on Sunday which was a tradition of theirs. They finished eating and went to go star gazing on the boat with Elizabeth and his brother Konrad. Elizabeth and Victor get into an argument about how God exists and how Victor's dad does not believe in him. Then Elizabeth dares him to push her off the boat and never refusing a dare he did.
